Workshops for senior citizens
Chief Story's workshops were carefully planned around dealing with the main issues that preoccupy the senior citizen population. The groups are groups with both a personal and a group aspect and their purpose is to enrich the life of the senior citizen, to allow him to process his life through storytelling and writing, and to enhance their place in the eyes of the family, the community in which they live and in the eyes of themselves.
In addition, the workshops are intended for veterans who are interested and able to hold a conversation and a group discussion in an open and positive atmosphere.
The workshops are intended for people aged 60 and over, without a background in writing and are held with a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 15, and are held at a frequency of one meeting every two weeks.
Life as a collection of stories- workshop
In this workshop, the members of the group will go through a process of getting to know their lives from a narrative perspective:
We will examine the way in which our lives can become a story, and we will trace those intersections in our lives that influenced and shaped our identity and our lives - and we will record them as a collection of short stories.
The stories are written by the group members or by the facilitator (according to the desire and ability of each participant).
The product of the workshop:
In addition to the personal process, at the end of the workshop each member of the group will have a collection of short stories written by him (or by the instructor, as agreed in advance). These stories form the basis for writing an autobiography (life story).
Good words from customers about the workshop:
"Thus, one evening I sat in the group and told my personal story from the process of the peace agreement with Egypt. To my delight, I felt that the participants were captivated by the story and half an hour turned into an hour. I went home and my brain worked overtime. I decided it was time to pass on the legacy. I invited as many as possible from the family and told them the story. They were surprised, because they didn't tell this story before. I made a presentation and told the story in several community forums. I have no doubt that this story would not have been published after 42 years if I had not participated in the workshop. Life as a collection of stories'. The dynamics between the members of the group and their stories themselves gave me the strength and courage to tell, and helped me understand that I was given the right to live a life intertwined with the history of the State of Israel. So don't hesitate - tell it!

The "business cards" of my life- workshop
How do we answer the question: "Who am I?"
Our lives consist of endless identities and roles that have served us throughout our lives: personal, family, professional - and much more. In the workshop we will trace these identities, and we will draw short stories from them that will express the entirety of our lives in its various aspects in the past - present - and in the future.
The product of the workshop: In addition to the personal process, at the end of the workshop, each member of the group will have a collection of short stories, like the number of "calling cards" of his life, which will faithfully reflect his many identities over the years.
Good words from customers about the workshop:
"For the first time I told about the despair from my childhood - and I stayed alive. I learned to listen to myself when I was telling a story from my life and this prepared me for the fact that on the eve of Holocaust Day I told my grandmother's story, then I stopped and also told my story with my grandmother so that the story would be more personal and emotional. It was a major success I realized that it is just as important for me to tell about myself."
