Storytelling project

Training of storytellers in educational and community facilities

Volunteering from the storytellers project M.A. Bar

Chief Story vision is to strengthen the inter-generational community bond: between the seniors of the settlement and the younger generation in it, through mutual acquaintance through life stories which form a bridge to fruitful and valuable inter-religious discourse.

This project combines workshop training + volunteering in the community
During the 14 sessions of the workshop, the group members will go through a process of choosing stories from their lives and will receive support in developing skills for writing and reading stories as a basis for activities to encourage and strengthen the intergenerational relationship - reading their personal stories.
The volunteering activity in which the veterans read their stories is done several times during the year (according to a plan that will be determined in advance), between the workshop meetings. The group members will volunteer in the kindergarten settings, the elementary schools, and the municipal libraries.

Kind words from customers about the project:
Yifat Santo from "Clan Chief" worked with our departments in the project of training storytellers for children. Yifat has a radiant and pleasant personality, has initiative and the ability to drive processes independently. Her work is done with active participation, creating work interfaces, creative thinking and a willingness to contribute beyond the formal commitment. With joint thinking, community group projects were built adapted to the needs and our unique council profile. Yifat succeeded in bringing together active groups of senior citizens for regular meetings, with active and continuous participation, with products according to the nature of the activity and with great pleasure in doing and learning. I see Bifat as an important and valued partner for community activities in the field of documentation and life stories. Working with her is a pleasure for me and I am sure that new initiatives will be established with her in the future."
